Play Bid Process

Directors and Production Managers,

The Monroe Theatre Guild, Inc. invites you to submit a bid for a show. We strive to produce a variety of shows for our audiences and look forward to your contribution. If you already have a vision we'll work with you to bring that stage. Or, if you're willing to accept a play selected by the Board of Directors, let us know.

The bid process often takes place over a period of time beginning with the Initial Bid Form. When your initial bid is accepted you will be assigned a Board liaison. With the help of the liason, you will finalize details of the production.

Steps and forms in the bid process

  1. Initial Bid Form submitted to Board.
  2. Board approves or recommends revisions.
  3. Budget and production essentials finalized (with assistance from Liaison) and submitted to Board. Use this form to identify your production team, venue, dates and budget. For your budget, we invite you to look at the sample budgets below to help you determine your production costs.
