a christmas carolMost folks are familiar with A Christmas Carol, a short story written by Charles Dickens in 1843.
A Christmas Carol recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a wealthy man who has soured on life. He has a strong loathing of Christmas due to events in his past. One night he is haunted by four spirits: his former employer, the Spirit of Christmas Past, the Spirit of Christmas Present, and the Spirit of Christmas Yet To Come. Along the journey of these hauntings, Scrooge visits moments that have shaped, are shaping, and will shape his life. Through the process he is transformed into a kinder, gentler, and admirable person. This MTG production of A Christmas Carol is an adaptation by Joe Leverton, the director of the show. The show has many of the elements of the original, while also including original scenes, new characters, and a few different “spins” on the story. |
